There are many upholsters in Melbourne. Many competitors. Over the years as with other small businesses I have had to differentiate myself well away from the pack. I have been in trade now for over 4 decades. In that time I have found that Ellie’s product differentiation is never ending passion for hard creative work. This is my ethos.
The last 12 months have been interesting. Market trends have seen us partake on many retro furniture upholstery and restoration assignments. I have had the opportunity to learn more about the iconic ground breakers of retro in furniture design. I have had quality Danish and Australian pieces find their way into my store which I have enjoyed working on immensely. This has provided my staff and I a better appreciation of Australian Furniture design and greater skills in handling retro furniture.
